Our History & Purpose
The Pikangikum Health Authority was established in response to the growing healthcare needs of our community. Over the years, we have evolved from a small healthcare provider into a comprehensive organization offering a wide range of services. Our purpose is to address the unique challenges faced by our remote community, from mental health crises to chronic disease management. Through resilience and a deep commitment to our people, we have become a trusted source of care, always prioritizing the health and safety of our community members.

Mission
The Pikangikum Health Authority is made up of a Board of Directors, management, and committed community-based health workers. In our role as health advocates and service providers, we will ensure that all Pikangikum First Nation members receive culturally appropriate, holistic and respectful health services. We will deliver these health services while promoting healthy ways of living.
