Expression of Interest (EOI): Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric)

PHA is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Nurse Practitioners to provide comprehensive primary and preventative care for children and youth in our community. This role is an integral part of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments, and medical history reviews
• Diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
• Develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans
• Coordinate and evaluate patient care and progress
• Administer vaccinations and preventive treatments
• Educate patients and families on pediatric health and wellness
• Ensure infection control and best practices in pediatric care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including pediatrician to provide holistic care

Qualifications & Experience:

• Registered Nurse Practitioner (RN-EC) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Primary Care, Community Health, or pediatrics.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a remote and demanding environment
• Willingness to travel via small aircraft, off-road vehicles, or boat as required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
